Mariposa with Sue Smyth

Skill Level: Intermediate

Mariposa is Spanish for butterfly, and in this class, you will showcase large lovely butterflies in a cleverly altered frame. Learn how to add dimension and interest to chipboard, from the hammered metal look to the glittered chip butterfly. Mix in some mica flakes, glitter and Art Alchemy waxes to finish your glorious plaque perfect for a book or journal cover or as a canvas to decorate your home.

Kit includes: All you need to make your own project, mediums, images, chipboards and step-by-step instructions.

What to bring: Basic tool kit, paint brushes, wipes, water jar, messy mat, heat gun if possible.

In Vogue with Michelle Grant

You will learn and experiment with watercolour techniques with a very clever new tool that creates awesome and unique watercolour effects that you can incorporate into any project from cards, scrapbooks, mixed media and so much more. You get to play with the new Colour Blast watercolours on high quality 300gsm A4 specialty papers.

Infinity Hummingbird with Elisa Ablett

An upcycled mixed media piece. Take upcycling mixed media to the next level in this class. Learn how to upcycle, reuse and repurpose different items to create a unique piece featuring a gorgeous hand crafted hummingbird and watercolour floral garden. You will using the NEW Colour Blast watercolours, inks, colour paste, stamps and stencils and upcycled items to create your project. You will work with watercolours to create backgrounds, creating depth and texture with recycled materials and hand crafting – something for everyone! Take home a perfect burst of colour to frame and hang in your house or gift to someone special.

Skill Level: Intermediate

You will need to know basic scrapbooking skills and basic mixed media skills. Learn how to improve your skills to turn a photo into a beautiful memory. You will build your layout using papers and flowers from 49 and Market. Incorporated in this class is the use of stencils and mediums, including the use of rusting powders from Dusty Attic. Tina will demonstrate how to achieve an effective rust colour on your layouts and also how to blend colours with differing mediums. Perfect for those just starting out with mixed media or those who just want to play with layering of papers and embellishments.

Kit includes: Patterned papers, flowers and the use of stamps from 49 and Market. Dusty Attic stencil, chipboard and the use of mediums including gesso, texture pastes, rusting powder and acrylic paints.

Love is All You Need with Karola Witczak

You will need to know fussy cutting, gluing and trimmer use. This class helps you scrap photos in a modern shabby chic style, using multiple layers and paper elements. You will combine two Mintay Papers collections to create a bold and airy layout that is full of details. Add a special shabby chic look by using white texture mediums, mask and some splashes as a final touch. Karola will show you how easy it is to work with, and how much you can create using Mintay Papers.
